As we all know, he knocked out Hatton in the second round. A very short fight though but Manny has shown the best of his abilities in boxing. He has been tagged by boxing promoter Bob Arum not as the “beast” from the East, but rather the “best and greatest boxer of all time.” What can you say about that??? He deserves all the honors and accolades for he is God-fearing man and is willing to learn more and always in his best fit every time he is in that boxing ring.

There is this news that he will enter again into politics. Personally, I do not think he needs this. If his reason for embarking into politics is to help his fellowmen, he can always do that without being involved in the dirty politics we have. He can always help any time he wants in any other means outside politics. He is just tarnishing his great image for an unworthy move. Stay out of politics, you are a boxer and have a great stake on that field. Stick to it. Concentrate on what you are remarkable of. Por amor de deus, huwag na sa politics (For the love of God, don’t ever venture into politics).

We will continue to support you in any way in your boxing endeavor but not in politics. Sorry!

During the day I was able to finish my medical tests which includes blood, urine, HIV, HEPA tests and xray exams at Hi-Precision Diagnostic Clinic near Osmena Boulevard in Cebu. As it is late, I was not able to have the physical exams in time therefore I need to go back to the clinic tomorrow to wind up the required medical exams for my application for migration in Australia.

After 12 years I finally met my classmates Patty Jane who is in vacation from Australia and Evelyn in Cebu Northwinds Hotel where we are staying for 2 or more days.

Dinner time. We headed to Ayala Center Cebu, one of the leading and biggest malls in Cebu located at the heart of Cebu Business Park. I was stunned by the beauty of the mall. Way back in our college days, Ayala Center Cebu is just a plain and predictable mall, very typical but not until today. It transformed into a cozy and beautiful place to shop, dine and just bumming around and painting the mall red. It is inspired by the mall in Makati called Greenbelt.

We ate our dinner at HUKAD sa Golden Courie. We had a sumptuous meal. A lot of delicious Filipino foods on our table. I just love eating at home based compared in “mina”.

The night is not yet over as we continue heading up to Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Hotel. We had minor drinks and light informal conversations.

Tonight is undoubtedly a time not to forget. It will be just another day in no time. Goodnight and Goodbye. Another adventure tomorrow in the heart of Cebu. Till then…

Without question, this is my first post for the new year. And definitely more posts to come. I could sense that 2009 is my number. A time now to delve and resolve to make 2009 my healthiest and wealthiest year yet by keeping on track of the do’s and dont’s. By all odds, this is my new me.

Last night as we waited for the new year to come, lot of explosions, fireworks and pyrotechnics burst forth in the air. Continuous rain did not hamper people to convey their excitement to embrace the coming new year. Blowups here and there. Just by anything that resounds the environment. I enjoyed the street noises. As the new year enters, others try to jump up and down hoping to be more taller for 2009 as indicated in the traditional superstitious notion. Philippine coins did not left unused in their wallets and being used to wave in the air to create noise believing wealth and fortune come into one’s life.

What is in store for me in 2009? What shall I do to enhance my life in the new year? Whatever and however will I create my life’s journey depends solely on what I want my life to be this 2009. I could only hope the best for this coming days to come.

Looking back of the year 2008, I thank all the good people who made the passing year beautiful for me. I pray that you all be blessed with another fruitful year of 2009.

I could sense now that the new year is looking more and more attractive for me as I have learned that this coming year of the ox, people born in the year of snake which I am in this period of time are very lucky for 2009, more money and wealth coming into my wallet. I hope this is true and will happen. I will surely take this opportunity to be inspired for this news and for the hope for this coming new year.

My climbing sense of excitement is unquestionably perfect for the day and the night to come. Later will celebrate and embrace the new year with my close friends for a change. I am hoping to infect others with my good energy and desire for prosperity for 2009.

Commonly, this time almost everyone has a new year’s resolution which most of us refrain to abide due to uncontrollable reasons and others are just carelessly lazy without determination to choose and follow their promise embedded in their new year’s resolution. For me, I just remain placid and keep it in my mind the things that I want to change, do, embark and modify my life in the coming year and years to come.

To all peoples in the world, happy new year. I still think and believe that life will be good as long as we live and we hope.
